TRADITIONAL RESEARCH
Traditional research uses forms completed with paper and pencil. Many students and teachers prefer this method, as no computer or computer skills are required.

Traditional Research Forms

Click on the links below for printable versions of the forms needed to research.

Research Project Information Page  This form should be completed at the beginning of your research. Your teacher will provide you with the information to be filled in, such as; project title, research question, thesis statement, sub-topics, and a to-do list with due dates. The second page provides instructions for using the note cards.

Source Information Sheet  Use this form to record the sources you are using for your research from which you will make your Works Cited. You must also include sources from which you get images, maps, charts, or movie and audio files. Space is provided for one of each type of source. Print as many pages as needed. This information is then printed or typed using the formatting information provided on the second page.

Note Cards   Refer to the Research Project Information Page for instructions on the use of these cards. The format of these cards can also be used on any index card or paper folded into quarters, and drawing in the circles in the upper corners, the line in between, and the short line in the lower right corner.

Managing Your Research Time  For those students who have trouble managing their time and staying organized, this sheet may help you remain on task, and get that paper in on time!
